Aloo gobi

I based this off the recipe that’s on the DVD of “Bend It Like Beckham” but ended up cooking it a LOT longer and adding a lot more seasoning. And I still could have dealt with a spicier dish. I’ll try to make it hotter next time.

Seared tuna and white beans

I like making this with steamed broccoli or sauteed spinach on the side. You could do this in the cast iron if you don’t have a grill or George Foreman.

This is what John cooked me this year for Valentine’s Day, and it’s a meal that should be reprised by others. The combo is crab cakes and braised short ribs; he served with mashed potatoes, string beans and garlic bread.
